Saint Nektarios was possessed by humanitarian feelings and with the love of Christ and paternal affection he fought to achieve what he served.

His Eminence Hierarch Nektarios Kefalas was adorned with goodness, kindness, good morals, administrative ability and scientific education.

Agios Nektarios was a charismatic figure.

For 14 consecutive years he was the director of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School and his presence determined its existence and course.

About the Institution

The Institution of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School (Rizarios Institution) was founded in 1841 by the Brothers Manthos and George Rizaris and is today one of the largest active National Legacies of our country.
Its founders came from Monodendri and emigrated from their childhood to Russia, where they created a colossal fortune from commercial enterprises, which they distributed entirely to the Greek nation after the establishment of the independent Greek state.
